Bug/Compatibility Report: Skype Dialer does not load in Outlook 2010

Hi this is a great add-in, however, I just upgraded to Outlook 2010 and unfortunately the addin does not load properly. I am getting the following error message when I visit the COM Add-Ins page in the "Outlook/Optioons/Add-Ins" section: <Load Behavior: Not Loaded. A runtime error occurrec during the loading to the COM Add-in>Please update this great utility to work with Outlook 2010!Thanks, -JT

Skype dailer installation problems

I've got that error message on the outlook 2010 installation:System.Security.SecurityException: Customized functionality in this application will not work because the certificate used to sign the deployment manifest for Ceptara SkypeDialer or its location is not trusted. Contact your administrator for further assistance.Is there a solution? thanks in adavnce.

Should work in 2010

We ran into an issue with the Skype com library running only in 32 bit mode. After compiling to make sure 32 bit was the 'correct' CPU setting, the dialer seems to work now.

RECAP: It should work on any Office 32 bit installation (not 64 bit) and work on a 64 bit OS such as Windows 7 64 bit, as long as Office 32 bit is running.

Skype Forums

I'm using SkypeDialer on Outlook 2010 32 bit riding on Windows 7 64 bit. It's working fine - I haven't updated Skype in awhile, and I think I read somewhere that Skype has been changing it's library (Skype4COM), which may be impacting your ability to connect to the library.

You may want to do some research in Skype's forums to see if others are having issues connecting to Skype4Com.

it looks as if the latest version of skype does not include this library anymore

Skype4COM DLL is depracated in Skype after Skype 5.3.0.12

It appears that Skype has changed their development direction and removed the Skype4COM.DLL file from their latest installations. They've even gone so far as having their installation remove the library if it existed previously.
