The 'My Record' dialog is showing up every time I start Outlook

Reset the Application -

This seems to occur when part of the local configuration gets corrupted.

By resetting the application, it puts the add-in into the state that it was in when it was first installed. You may need to restore your projects using the restore button via the Project Organizer's Tools Options, More Tools tab.

Resetting the application can be found in the Options dialog, Tools tab, System Tools button. Alternatively, if the add-in is past its trial period, you can get there using Outlook's Tools - Options, Ceptara Organizer Tab. Click on the 'Trouble Registering' label link and it will bring up the System Tools dialog.

Reinstalling does not solve problem with lost 'My Record'

Hi Chris,

Uninstall and reinstalling the Ceptara does not solve the problem with lost My Record. Any other advice? I sent an error report.

Here are the instructions that I sent in email:

  1. Reset your Application – wait 5 minutes to let Exchange sync.
  2. Restart Outlook
  3. Turn on Troubleshooting – Project Explorer, Help – Support - Troubleshooting
  4. Don’t restore your projects yet – work in Outlook for a bit.  This will let Outlook and Exchange sync.
  5. See if it works or breaks.
  6. If it breaks, send me the error log
  7. If it works, restore your project data store
  8. When it breaks, send me the error log.

Hopefully you've been able to get yourself working again.  If not, please let me know.
