Cant install organizer

Hello,

The product description is very promising however I cant install the product. I got following message when running the setup:

An error occurred downloading the following resource:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=158918

It looks like the link to the Visual Studio Runtime is broken however I cant find any new one.

I use Outlook 2010 at Windows 7.

Thx for help,

juergen

Microsoft Download for VSTO broken

Juergen -

Thanks for posting the question -

It appears that Microsoft broke their download link for the VSTO40 binary that our tool has a dependency on.

Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) has two versions that we're dependent on, 1) VSTO30, which is used for Outlook 2007, and 2) VSTO40, which is used for Outlook 2010.  VSTO40 also comes in an x86 and x64 version.

We've posted a ticket to Microsoft's developer forum.  We're also not the only one this error is affecting.  Hopefully they'll have their site back up and running by tomorrow (9/27).  If not, we'll post our version of the binaries on our site as a temporary workaround.

I'll keep this post updated, so please check back as you have time.

thx
Chris
