Support for ISO-Latin-1 characterset in Projects List
Tue, 11/23/2010 - 03:13 — olivier.zaech
When entering a project name with "special characters" from the ISO-Latin-1 alphabet (cf. codepage 1252, ISO-8859-15, Unicode), the names get displayed wrongly in the "Projects List". Will this be fixed in some future version? -olivier

Seems to work Ok for German umlauts
I cannot confirm your observation. I created a test project in the Organizer called "Üböbäßing Project" containign German umlauts and it displays correctly. It also sync and displays correctly on Toodledo...
clarification and test
Sorry, perhaps I was not clear enough. The characters only display wrongly when displaying a project list by selecting "Tools -> Reports -> Project Details". I tested with "Üböbäßing Project" and got this result "Ãœböbäßing Project" in the display and also in the printout. In all other environments (Project Explorer, Outlook, ToodleDo, etc.) it displays correct. Seems to be limited to the printing function. -olivier
"Tools -> Reports -> Project Details" correct in my installation
Thanks for the clarification. Nope, I cannot confirm your findings. In my setup (Windows Vista English with German Regional Settings) also the "Tools -> Reports -> Project Details" and a printout display the expected characters.
