Fri, 03/25/2011 - 03:42 — jupp25
the project explorer gives me a good and quick overview for projects and details.
when i`m working within tasks or the calender i sometimes need to look up information and for that i have to go all the way through the project explorer, projects...
it would be great to open the assigned project from within the task or any other object and just get the information to the specific project

Working within an Outlook object, e.g. a task - you can get to the project properties from the Project menu. Select All Projects and then the Modify button. If a project is assigned to the item, the project properties dialog will appear.
Thank you for your inquiry.

I think it would be great to see and get access to all objects assigned to a project from within a task or calender item or any other assigned object.
example: I´m in a task and I´m missing information thats only in a older email also belonging to the project. now I would have to open the project explorer search for the project to see a list of all objects. it would make it alot easier to have access right from the object I´m working in.

"What I think you might be asking for, is that 'Open Project Explorer' menu in the ribbon of an open task or appointment." - that would be great, so it works like the right-click in the to-do-bar
and while were at it ;-) why can`t sent mails not be assigned to a project, or did I miss that to?
thanks again for your replies!
Latest version 3.5.1004 has PE in the Ribbon
You can now start Project Explorer from an Outlook Object's ribbon menu and/or start Windows Explorer. Each window opens onto the project's respective pointer, e.g. the selected project in Project Explorer, and the associated Windows folder for the selected project.
