Mapping Outlook Task Status to Toodledo Status
Toodledo's Status are quite useful to manage and prioritize tasks. As they also sync to the "Got to do" app I use on my android cell phone, I started using them only to discover that they do not sync to Outlook via the Ceptara Organizer. What is worse a Toodledo "Next Action" status turns into a "Someday" on Toodledo after Organizer synchronization.
I'm aware that there is no easy way to map Outlook Task Status ("Not started", "In Progress", "Completed", "Waiting on someone else", "Deferred") to Toodledo's ("None", "Next Action", "Active", "Planning", "Delegated", "Waiting", "Hold", "Postponed", "Someday", "Canceled", "Reference").
Thus I would prefer that Organizer's Toodledo synchronization just leaves the Status alone as it does other fields such as Toodledo's Goals.
Or is there any other way the user community is dealing with this aspect of the Outlook / Toodledo interaction?

Outlook / ToodleDo Status
You are absolutely correct, Outlook and ToodleDo statuses are not aligned, and coming up with an algorithm to make them work was a challenge. Although you're point about 'Next Action' is a good one. I'll look at mapping that differently (perhaps to In-Progress would be better). And I will look at turning off sync'ing for that field.
The way I handle this is to not use ToodleDo status for 'next action', rather use a Focus / Context, so they map directly and are not lost across the tools. Not sure about about Got To Do app though.
Mapping Fields to Toodledo
Can Outlook category be mapped to Toodledo Context? Can oher mappings e controlled like Chromatic Dragon's add in can. I am trying to limit the amount of add ins I use.
ToodleDo Context is equal to the Organizer Focus
I may not understand your question correctly.
If you're asking can an Outlook category be mapped to a ToodleDo context, the answer is yes via the Organizer's Focus field. Other than Projects and Focuses, Outlook's category field is mapped to ToodleDo's tag field.
For example, if I have a task assigned to Project One, has a Focus of @Phone, and has another Outlook category such as Client XYZ. Then the ToodleDo sync would map 'Project One' to a TD folder name, '@Phone' to a TD context name, and 'Client XYZ' to the TD task tag field.
