What is the best way to work with subprojects ?
I like to work with a couple master projects and have sub projects within these master projects.
For example. I have a project - Development new software. Within that project i got a sub project - release Q1, release Q2 etc.
I implemented this in the Organizer add-on, by creating 5 seperat projects:
Development new software
Release Q1 etc.
I keep track of all actions on the current developments in Development new software and specific items / information for the to be planned release in Q3 i connect to the seperate project Release Q3...
Is there a better way, because I corrently see a large grow of the number of projects i got.

Tasks and sub-tasks
I like to think of your situation as one project and use Tasks and Sub-tasks, e.g.
Project = Application Name
Task 1 = Release Q1 - which is really a milestone
- Sub-task 1 = (Q1) Develop requirements
- Sub-task 2 = (Q1) Requirements Sign-off
- Sub-task 3 = (Q1) etc.
Task 2 = Release Q2 - another milestone
- Sub-task 1 = (Q2) Develop requirements
- Sub-task 2 = (Q2) Requirements Sign-off
- Sub-task 3 = (Q2) etc.
I find the mindmap view in Project Explorer the best for setting up tasks and sub-tasks.
If you do this a lot, you can set up the project and then save it as a work breakdown structure (WBS) via Project Explorer - Project - Import and Export...
